Knit, knit, and more knit!
This outfit practically screams out comfort (save for the shoes after five hours, but generally, they're pretty comfy).
Today's photos were taken by one of my best friends, Shian Li, a beautiful, talented and the most passionate person I know, at my music school. Taken at my favourite corner of the school, a beautiful painting hung as my backdrop and a wide window served as my light source, with sunlight being sifted through the flowy, translucent curtain that veils it.
I'm wearing my favourite (and only) knitted turtleneck, a slouchy knitted cardigan and leggings. I'm not usually one to wear leggings as pants, but I think I have successfully defended myself from the legging-as-pants-nay-sayers with the cardigan that covers my butt, so go easy on me! I'm also wearing a pair of chunky heels to elongate my legs, because y'know the deal with leggings, and that's it. Super simple, super comfy!
My weekend has been extremely busy, what with rushing from rehearsals to rehearsals and show to show. Allow me to brag a little because I don't usually get to. Sunday afternoon, I did a quick little performance at the Trinity College London Award Show and had the honour of receiving an Award of Excellence for a music exam (highest score for Grade 8 violin, can I get a heck yeah?!) I took last year. It's kind of surreal, now that I think about it, because I've been playing for 5 years and my 5 years have finally paid off! The love-hate relationship I have with practice sessions in between the half-decade were pretty ugly, so.
I also had a funny little revelation this weekend in that I dance like a squiggly potato. I am so jealous of people who can move like they're made from liquid, slick and effortless. How is it even possible to look so good when you dance?!
How has your weekend been? I'd love to know!
